Bombay Duck Co.

Amul chili cheese dosa, Bombay Duck Co.

A newish Indian spot? It didn't take too long for us to suss it out and head on over to what used to be Indian Creperie. We tried an amul chili cheese dosa (top), wherein the crepe was soft, rather than crisp, and spicy chili paneer (bottom).

What will bring us back to Bombay Duck before movies at IFC Center, however, are the batata vada (below). Battered in chickpea flour and fried, these orbs cracked to reveal soft, peppery, potatoey innards; they were simultaneously light and substantive, perfectly calibrated and begging to be devoured.

Hello!
I just wanted to tell you that we spent the day in Queens, visited the Sculpture Garden and had lunch at LIC market (it took us a while to find it, but it was worth it!)
Thanks for your suggestions!
