'Tis the season for year-end lists, best bite roundups, slideshows about delicious stuff from 2012. Top on ours, for sure, would be the brussels sprout-and-smoked pancetta pizza, with garlic and fior di latte, at Motorino. The margherita, with tomato sauce and fresh mozz, was more than fine, but it's the green-and-pink, preppy delight that keeps coming up in conversation, how the char-crisp veggies worked in tandem with the char-crisp crust, how everything was heightened by so much garlic and mellowed by so much creamy cheese. We eat a lot of pizza, and this one stands out as one of the best --- of any year.

Glad to know your definitive fave. I haven't had Motorino for years, but these amaaaazing pictures have me wanting to go back. Now. For Brussels sprouts.
