Covering more than 4 million square feet on 95 acres, the Brooklyn Army Terminal surely wins the prize for the most monumental site of this year's Open House New York weekend. It was also one of the coolest, its fascinating Cass Gilbert design a testament to the idea that functional architecture need not be uninspiring.
