At Cookie Road recently, we tried a peanut butter cookie, with the cracked blacktop look of homemade, freshly made, and the taste of a hand not overly enamored of sugar. The caramel chocolate bar weighed about two pounds, dense as it was with butter, as heavy as an ancient Chevy chugging along in the summertime.
