The New York Photo Festival
The New York Photo Festival, running through tomorrow, brings thousands of images from photographers all over the world to Dumbo. Lectures, slideshows, Leica scavenger hunts, and numerous affiliated exhibitions at the neighborhood's galleries complement the main hall, where Elisabeth Biondi and Enrico Bossan have curated two interwoven shows, one on subjectivity and the other on hope. Our favorites from the weekend: Balazs Gardi's iPhone shots from Afghanistan [above], Eran Gilat's Life Science series and the Anthropographia finalists in 55 Washington, the Chernobyl photos at VII, Alexandros Lambrovassilis and Achilles Peklaris's photo-interviews with 150 New Yorkers at the Tobacco Warehouse, and Audrey Baschet's beautiful pictures from Africa at Giacobetti Paul.

Very strange picture that was posted. It looked extremely alien for a little bit, sort of toxic. I did a double take to understand that it was a plastic bag with eye holes.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very different picture but i love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the uniqueness to this picture.
