Qi, near Union Square, talks a good game about its commitment to "Auyerveda herbal treatments" and "Taoist macrobiotics" and how its food can "maintain healthy energy flow within the body on a daily basis." Uh, OK. We go because of their $7 lunch special, which includes an appetizer like corn and chai dumplings or savory chicken and shrimp dumplings, plus a main course like a sweet honey bbq pork sandwich or a spicy bowl of basil fried rice with shrimp. Good karma all around.

my aunt was/is into macro eating and this place sounds right up her alley...food doesn't look bad. I would try it .....
ReplyDeleteHave you taken her to Souen (http://souen.net/)? As for Qi, the food was quite good!
