BWAC Red Hooked Art Show

Red Hooked, the summer show of the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, takes place in an old timber-and-brick warehouse on the waterfront in Red Hook. Getting to wander around one of those great, decaying buildings is a good incentive, but with works by more than 200 artists on display, it's hard to think of a reason not to go. Our favorite: Christina Jorge's "rust abstracts," beautiful close-ups of the disused streetcars piled up just outside. Our second favorite: the stray cat wandering around the joint.
